「Podcast」 這個字由 pod 和 cast 組成，其實是 iPod 加上 broadcast 的混合詞。 Podcast 指的是能在手機或電腦等行動裝置上播放的廣播節目。與傳統的廣播不同之處在於，Podcast 具有隨選隨播的特性，而廣播節目則與電視節目一樣有固定的排程與節目表，因此許多人將 Podcast 比喻為「聲音版的 YouTube」。

Podcast 與 Broadcast 差在哪裡？

Broadcast

broadcast 當動詞，指「播送」。播送廣播或電視節目可用 broadcast，傳播、散播消息也可用 broadcast 這個動詞。

broadcast (v.) 播送 ＋ 消息、廣播節目、電視節目

例句：Please don’t broadcast the news. We’re not ready to release it yet.
請不要散播這個消息，我們還沒準備好要發佈。

Podcast
